Barbecued Pork Recipe By Pig on a Spit - May 2, 2008 |

Recipe for barbecued pork on skewers with a nice baste mixture.
Ingredients:
1 kg. pork
1 onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup of lemon juice
1/2 cup of beer
skewers
1 cup soy sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
3 tablespoons of brown or white sugar
1/2 cup of tomato sauce
1 teaspoon ground black pepper.
Cooking Instructions:
Cut pork meat into thin long slices about 1/4 inch thick and 2 inches wide.
In a mixing bowl, marinate the cut pork with the soy sauce, minced garlic, chopped onions, lemon juice, ground pepper, sugar, tomato sauce and beer.
Mix and keep in the refrigerator for at 30 minutes (stirring occasionally).
Prepare the skewers by soaking in water.
String the pork on the skewers.
Barbeque the pork on skewers until cooked. Turn every few minutes and brush the left over baste onto the meat.
