Can you cook a pork roast in a slow cooker or crockpot?
For sure, here is one recipe to cook a whole pork roast with garlic pepper and basil in a crockpot.
Ingredients:
4 to 5 pound pork roast
1 cup dry white wine
onion
6-8 cloves garlic
pepper
basil.
Crockpot Cooking Directions:
Cut 6-8 holes into the roast just big enough to fit a clove of garlic. Put a whole garlic peeled clove into each hole.
Rub outside of pork roast meat with cracked pepper and basil.
Pour the dry white wine in the bottom of the Crock Pot.
Place roast in the crockpot put slices or wedges of onion on top and around the roast.
Cover and cook on low all day or until done.
If desired you can also place potatoes and carrots in the bottom of the crockpot, or serve mashed or baked potatoes steamed veggies on the side.
