Italian Sausage Meat Recipe By Pig on a Spit - May 15, 2008 |

Recipe for making a slightly spicy Italian sausage meat for patties or pizza topping.
Ingredients:
1 pound lean ground pork
3 1/2 teaspoons paprika
2/3 teaspoon garlic powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon fennel seed
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Optional: 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes.
Italian Sausage making Directions:
Combine all ingredients well. Refrigerate for about 2 hours. If using for pizza, crumble up mixture and partially cook before placing on top of pizza.
You can also make them into small patties and cook in skillet.
Make at least a couple of hours before eating.
