1 lb frozen bread dough, thawed
1/4 lb thinly sliced ham
1/4 lb thinly sliced hard salami

1 small onion, diced
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1 1/2 oz thinly sliced pepperoni.
banana peppers, sliced into rings.
Cooking Directions for Stromboli:
In large skillet or frying pan, melt the butter over a medium heat.
Add the onions, garlic, and green pepper.
Cook, stirring often, 2 to 3 minutes or until tender and remove from heat.
Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Place dough on foil and pat out to about 14" square.
Layer meats and cheese down center of dough. Top with onion and green pepper mixture. Place banana pepper rings on top of this layer.
Using a sharp knife make 8 cuts, to within 1 1/2" of filling, along the long sides of dough. Alternately fold strips overlapping, into center over filling.
Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until doubled in size.
Preheat oven to 350 F. Uncover and bake 45 minutes or until golden brown.
Let stand 10 minutes before slicing. Serve hot.
